Paramed introduces MrOpen - The really wide-open U-shaped MRI system
December 2006 - Paramed Medical Systems introduces MrOOpen, the first MR imaging system based on a wide-open U-shaped MgB2 cryogen-free superconductive magnet for general purpose. MROpen is the result of 20 years of experience in the MR imaging field and a joint research and development activity with ASG  Superconductors  (the company responsible for the system's magnet design and manufacturing).  Giving  birth  to  a  new generation of open systems, MROpen features the advantages  of  both  permanent  and superconductive units, including  optimized  image  quality in all regions, wide gap, open architecture, cost effectiveness, easy maintenance, limited size and weight.
